When you write down affirmations, you train your subconscious mind to think positive thoughts.

Like any new routine, such as working out or eating healthy, the more consistent you are, the sooner you will see the results. 

When starting a new practice working on positive affirmations, it is important to write down the affirmations daily. Write them down twice daily if possible.

Write down your positive affirmations at least once every day, but don’t do it more than three times a day.

Make sure you really believe in what you’re writing. Spend about 3 to 5 minutes writing the affirmations.

Yes, writing your affirmations when you first wake up sets the tone for the day.

You will have programmed your brain to look for the positive in different situations. While we cannot control the outside world, we can choose how to react to situations. 

Writing affirmations gives you a better chance to pause before reacting when things aren’t going your way.

You remember your intention for the day and take more positive actions. 

In the evening, writing down your affirmations is helpful because it makes you accountable for your actions during the day. You are mentally checking in and setting the mood for your dreams. It only takes 3-5 minutes each time, and it is so worth it!

While your practice of writing down affirmations can change over time, it is so important to do it twice daily in the beginning while you are creating a routine. 

It may be tempting to think, “Once I have done it for X number of days, I stop writing affirmations.” 

But it is essential to reflect on the outcome you are looking for because what usually happens is instead of stopping the affirmations after a certain number of days, the affirmations evolve. 

For example, in the beginning, you may create a routine and may use affirmations to test it out and see if you can get a slight change in your life. Once this happens, you may think, “I am done, and I no longer need to do affirmations.” 

However, most people eventually choose larger goals. Affirmations help them reach this new level. 

Your question is: how many days should I write affirmations? But the answer is another question: how big is your vision? 

Your practice of affirmations may change, but you probably won’t stop using them. Instead, you’ll allow them to evolve.

The number of affirmations it takes to manifest something is subjective and depends on your attitude, mindset, and commitment to practice. Most people notice a shift in their outlook after only two weeks. 

An excellent way to gauge if it is working is to go back after two weeks of daily affirmations and look at your original affirmation. When you read it, do you think differently about it? 

How do you feel about yourself? 

If you cannot get a clear answer, write the % of belief that you have that this affirmation will help you manifest what you are looking for and then compare how you feel in two more weeks. 

Also, if you have been doing the two-step process of acknowledging your feelings and then saying the positive affirmation, the results come more easily.
