What are the best ways to manifest your dreams and goals?

In this post I’m going to go over the top 7 ways of manifesting money. These are things that I still draw on as I improve my own money mindset. And read all the way down to find the short videos I’ve created about manifesting!

What are some ways of manifesting?

There are so many ways of manifesting.

But the following seven tools are my absolute favourite ways that I have built the life of my dreams.

I continue to use these tools to grow every day.

See which ones appeal to you and think of how you could apply one of these ways to your own manifesting practice.

1. A VISION BOARD

You have probably heard the saying a picture is worth a thousand words.

This couldn’t be more accurate than with a vision board. Imagine all the pictures of the life you want reflecting back to you like a mirror. I have used a vision board successfully to manifest what I needed at the time.

You may feel your subconscious saying, “Um, I don’t have time to make a vision board! How silly!”

If this is you, then it may be easier for you to cut out one picture and put it in a notebook. You don’t need to glue it. Just have it there, and if you can look at it daily or even weekly, it will start to take shape.

Like anything, it is hardest to start, but once you make the commitment, it gets easier.

Saying this, I also recommend that you start with what is easiest and natural to you and remember it doesn’t have to be perfect. It can be one picture that is one major goal for you. Trust me. You will start to see that picture more often in your life.

2. A JOURNAL

The reason I like a journal is it acts as an accountability partner.

I remember writing in a journal that I wanted to manifest a healthy relationship and leave my current “okay” relationship. I also wrote I wanted a more fulfilling career. I went into more detail and clearly outlined what this would look like.

Each time I journaled, I would add to this goal.

A year later, I looked back at my original entry and continued reading the next few months of entries. It became clear when these goals changed, and I “got off track.”

I started letting my negative beliefs take over. I thought I was selfish for wanting what my heart needed to feel fulfilled and that I should be happy with the status quo. I was in an okay relationship, and my career was fine. Why wasn’t that enough!?

With the journal, I could see when my pattern changed, and I started compensating.

The fascinating thing was that the minute I went back to the original thought I’d had a year earlier, I felt inspired and knew I had to take action! If I didn’t, I would be letting my inner desires go. It was one of the hardest decisions I made, but I had to be brave and make changes to move me toward the life I had envisioned.

Now you may be wondering, “How is this manifesting?”

But I remind you that manifesting is, at its core, turning dreams into reality.

Well, I had written down my dreams, and I could picture them on the page. But then, a few months later, I let these dreams fall onto the back burner. There is no way manifesting will work unless you are willing to be honest with yourself. Otherwise, you are manifesting someone else’s dreams.

Be true to yourself, and use a journal as your accountability partner.

Doing this gave me the determination and resolve to make the difficult changes that have led me to realize my fulfilling relationship and have a remarkable career.

3. MEDITATION

Meditation quiets the busy mind and allows you to feel your inner desires.

It can be hard in our overly-stimulated world to slow down and listen because there is always more to do. But the rewards are great when you take 10 minutes a day to sit. This is where you can be present, feel, and be in tune with your body.

I emphasize the importance of this because when you align with where you are meant to be, you can feel it. This practice of meditating helps when you are running around in your busy world, and you can sense a change.

You can feel the opportunity.

You can sense when something is working for you and helping you manifest your dreams.

Meditation provides clarity and allows your body to feel when you are lifted or let down. It makes it harder to lie to yourself in a relationship that doesn’t fill your cup or when you are going against your inner voice.

4. ENVISIONING

I envision myself as a child when I am confused about what I truly want.

The picture that quickly brings me back is when I see my 6-year-old self in nature and twirling my arms around while looking up at the sky and spinning. I can feel the innocence of that moment. I can feel that embodiment of being carefree and knowing I am free to shine and dream.

When I go back to this moment from childhood, I quickly recognize the difference in my mindset.

I hadn’t created these limiting beliefs or started to carry the weight of the world and social pressures. Somehow as I grew up, I became too busy trying to please everyone. I forgot to love and cherish the desires of the little girl inside.

I encourage you to do this exercise, envisioning the little child in you, because it can make you believe in what you desire most.

It can help you remember that you deserve it. It can help you set your goals based on your true self, not what you think you should desire.

Manifesting works when you listen to your whole body and remember you want to pursue your dreams and not someone else’s.

5. GRATITUDE

There are numerous psychology studies which show gratitude improves mood and health and brings greater happiness.

The “Counting Blessings Versus Burdens” study by Emmons and McCullough, done in 2003, found that daily gratitude exercises resulted in higher reported levels of alertness, enthusiasm, determination, optimism, and energy. Plus, the gratitude group experienced less depression and stress, was more likely to help others, exercised more regularly, and made more progress toward personal goals.

This is just one example of many studies done on the benefits of gratitude.

But how does this relate to manifesting? To start manifesting, you need to have a positive belief about your dreams and believe you deserve them. Being grateful sets you up for success.

A great practice is to say or write down three things you are grateful for in the morning. They can be simple things like, “I am grateful for a roof over my head or food on the table or for a particular person in your life.”

One of the biggest mistakes when thinking about starting a gratitude practice is people start comparing themselves to others. And they start thinking, “I don’t have this or that.”

And, frankly, they don’t feel that grateful.

It is so important to be grateful for even the little things, and of course, when you manifest something more significant in your life, you also need to practice gratitude.

Being grateful is teaching your brain to look at the positive in your life.

6. CURIOSITY

Have a thirst for knowledge on manifesting.

Read, listen to podcasts, and do everything to soak up as much information as possible. It will help you believe in manifesting and learn tools that may be helpful to you.

7. MAGIC TIME BEFORE BED AND WHILE YOU SLEEP

Science shows that right before bed is one of the best times for manifesting.

Picture the life you want and feel the changes you want to see happen. This sets the pattern for your dreams to be working while you are asleep.

One notable study on the power of sleep is the “Tetris Effect Study” conducted by Harvard Medical School’s Robert Stickgold. This study showed that individuals who played Tetris for extended periods before sleeping often dreamed about the game. This effect demonstrates how the brain continues to process information and experiences even in sleep, which also applies to goal processing.

Can you see how this might also help you with your manifesting?

Another related concept is the “Zeigarnik Effect,” named after Russian psychologist Bluma Zeigarnik. The Zeigarnik Effect states that people remember uncompleted or interrupted tasks better than completed tasks. In theory, the brain’s preoccupation with unfinished work could extend into sleep, potentially helping with problem-solving related to goal achievement.

Whichever way you decide to start manifesting, the most important thing is to start by creating clear goals.

Don’t worry if they are perfect goals. They can change over time, but the direction should be clear.  The second most important thing is to be consistent with your practice of manifesting and be patient.

You will start to see results.
